Workshop: Connecting Work to What Matters
Goals that feel arbitrary don't get achieved. When people can't see why their work matters, to them personally or to something bigger, you get compliance at best. This workshop explores how to create genuine connection between individual purpose and organisational need. Crucially, this works in both directions: sometimes you're helping people see why an organisational goal matters to them; sometimes you're helping them connect their personal aspirations to what the organisation needs. You'll learn to navigate both conversations authentically.

Goals set the same way for everyone rarely work. What motivates one person can demotivate another, and what works in one situation fails in the next. This workshop explores the range of goal-setting approaches available to you, from structured methods like SMART to coaching frameworks like GROW, from ambitious OKRs to learning-focused goals. You'll develop the judgement to match your approach to the person and the situation, rather than defaulting to whatever you've always done.

This workshop explores what psychological safety actually means in practice, and what it doesn't. We'll examine why safety matters for performance, what specific leader behaviours build or erode it, and how to assess the current state in your own team. You'll work with a practical diagnostic framework and leave with concrete actions you can take immediately, even in high-pressure environments.

I have spent extensive time in the space between what organisations need and what managers actually experience day-to-day.
I;ve sat in the boardroom shaping people strategy and with the manager trying to have a difficult conversation before their next meeting. This dual perspective - strategic and practical - shapes everything I design and deliver.
I bring genuine curiosity about what makes managers tick, a low tolerance for theory that doesn't survive contact with reality, and a belief that developing people should be engaging, not endured.
